Can't you just smell the charcoal? These Japanese Veggie Rings make me want to get in the backyard and fire up the grill! They're wearable, colourful slices of summer.

We're thiiiis close to the end of the month.
(I appreciate the crook detail in the back of the fingers, too.) For more, including a cool grapsing-hands cuff, visit Chicago's Morgan Reed.

There is a significant, perplexing scarcity of hydrangeas in the realm of flower jewellery. Roses, daisies and sundry nondescript five-petal figures are common but, for some reason, not the lovely hydrangea. Helping to remedy that situation is Hong Kong's A.G.F.C. Accessories.

Simple and loopy: qualities that don't make for the sharpest person, but that do make for great rings. Check out the UK's Dorota Todd.

Though I'm able to eat chicken eggs, quail eggs absolutely creep me out. I can't explain it. Perhaps the problem is that they keep being presented as something to eat rather than something to wear, like these resin cuties From the designer behind Japan's Yumemeland.

These charming little rings aren't just a series of cubes and pyramids.
They're little skylines! The non-rings are equally charming, so go check out the whole collection from Italy's Gi (Ginevra Dondina).

We're already more than halfway through April. As I ponder, uncomfortably, the quickening sands of time, enjoy the "Passing" series by Chinese artst Xin Liu (currently an MFA candidate at RISD). To fully appreciate these rings which bring to mind Tibetan sand painting you must check out the quick video.

Going traditional today, with the classic "fine gems and gold" routine, but the results here are not at all ordinary. I was immediately struck by the gorgeous colours of these stones so it was no surprise to read this in the designer's bio:
Brooke hand selects specific gemstones for their outstanding beauty and soul. For Brooke, a perfect stone also has to evoke an emotional reaction. Her well developed eye and search for stones with special qualities often reveals overlooked gems whose depth of color and unique characteristics attract the intuitive wearer.
To see the collection, visit L.A.-born, London-based Brooke Gregson.

I don't know if there's a single word to describe this fluted, radial, star-polygonal style, but I love the distinctive look that the UK's Flora Bhattachary has developed in her jewellery. (Anyone else have a sudden craving for Bundt cake?)

This ring accurately reflects my feelings about it, key word being "reflect." The text is in reverse because it's a rubber stamp! So. Cute.

These rings are impressive. Literally. In Belgian jeweller Kaat De Groef's own words: "Instead of making a print in sealing-wax, these signet rings make a print directly into the skin of the wearer, as an identification of the jewellery designer."

I own a pair of Kyoko Hashimoto earrings and even that's small consolation for the fact that I don't own any of her punchy rings. The Australian jeweller combines brass (both powder-coated and not) with polyurethane drops to make these "Double Scoop" rings.

These rings are made of Corian, which is often used in kitchen decor, which makes me think of home renovations, which reminds me of the drywall fiasco I've been enduring for three weeks, which makes me want to pull a George Michael. "Way to make it about you, Alice!" the UK's Sophie Thomas might say.

I can't believe I lived during a time when a storage capacity of 1.44MB was actually useful. Nowadays? Those floppy disks are good for one thing only: making rings. Check out these recycled disk and plexiglas rings by Belgium's Ilke Matthys!

Go for the monochrome.
But stay for the spectrum.
Whether you prefer the stark palette of the "Citi;zen" Corian rings or the range of hues in their other collections, there's tons to love when it comes to Lithuania's OkiikO (graphic designer Laura Tulaite and architect Eivaras Rastaukas).
