Tapered Murano Glass Bands
   These solid glass rings are a customer favourite! Tall in front but tapered in the back, most are about 3/4 inch to one inch tall, though the exact size and shape will vary from ring to ring. They feature flecks of silver ("Tavia") and gold foil ("Talia") on solid glass; please note that the pattern and amount of flecks also vary. Some of the silver flecks have a golden tint. About Murano Glass: these solid glass rings come from Murano, Italy, a group of islands world-famous for their beautiful glass art. In 1291, due to the fire risk from glass furnaces, all Venetian glass- makers were forced to move to the Murano islands; there, they remained isolated for centuries in order to safeguard their special technique from others.
